Succesful project completion in Berlin-Altglienicke
Buildings with unusual facades and building bodies fascinate us almost reflexively. We hail outstanding designs and breathtaking buildings that soar to spectacular heights. But, what about tangible buildings that appear simple at first glance and lack any frills?
Buildings that have been sustainably designed and constructed to provide people not only with a home, but a true quality of life.
This year, our BAL team, in collaboration with the client and architect Streletzki Gruppe, successfully completed just such a complex: In addition to the 144 sustainably planned apartments with two to five rooms and sizes ranging from 56 m² to 122 m², the classically modern residential ensemble Zaunkönige in Berlin offers generously landscaped gardens, a spacious playground and raised beds.
Arranged in a staggered fashion, the 8 urban villas adorn Teutonenstraße in Berlin-Altglienicke and form a recognizable urban and architectural unit. Here, where Berlin is tranquil, where people know their neighbors by name and where home means living in green surroundings. For two years, our BAL project manager Patrick Müller and his team of four supervised and managed the successful implementation of the project, mastering challenges and overcoming the unexpected. The work took place in two construction phases. “When, after two years of concentrated work, people move into their apartments and fill the area with life, it’s a nice feeling and also makes you proud,” says Müller at the end of the project.
